Our Earth Choice customers with a sharp eye may have noticed a fresh look for your favourite products, thanks to our recent packaging redesign and new formats. This update has been an exciting journey for our team, enhancing both aesthetics and sustainability.
So, what’s new? Our refreshed packaging features a modern logo and design elements while preserving the heritage of our iconic Australian brand. Earth Choice Brand Manager Annabel Rafferty shares her insights: “Updating a beloved brand can be daunting, but our new design strikes the perfect balance off adding modernity whilst not losing our brand essence- particularly the famous globe! I’m excited after all of the hard work from the team, we are seeing this in store now and hearing such great feedback from our customers!”
As part of the update, we also reviewed our bottle formats to see where we could find more efficiencies in reducing plastic and carbon emissions. One of our key changes you may see is to our Earth Choice Ultra Concentrate Laundry Liquid 4L. With it’s new shape and removal of the plastic tap has reduced the amount of plastic in this bottle by 17.7% and 100% recyclable.
By removing the tap, it also means the cartons that we ship these bottles to store in can be smaller, reducing the amount of cardboard by 25.6%. When our cartons are smaller, it means we can fit more on a pallet too. This results in less pallets and trucks being used- having a positive impact on our carbon emissions too.
As Annabel Rafferty puts it “There is a lot of science that not only goes into our formulations but also our packaging. When we are shipping near 5 million units of products every year, the impact of small changes like these can really add up and a fundamental value at Earth Choice is to minimse our impact at every opportunity.”
