Product ingredients
Do you test on animals or use animal derived products?
We love and respect our furry friends and never test on animals or use animal derived ingredients - not now, not ever. All of our products are vegan-friendly and our partners and suppliers must also comply with our strict standards.
Why is sodium benzoate an ingredient in some of your products?
Sodium Benzoate is a preservative that stops bacteria and mould growing in products. There is no need to be concerned about this ingredient as you will find many cosmetics contain this and is approved for use in rinse off and leave on cosmetics.
Do you use ammonia in any of your products?
At Natures Organics we do not use ammonia in any of our products.
Are your products grey water safe?
Low sodium levels and undetectable phosphates in our products make it grey water safe. Our products are biodegradable, and do not contain any ingredients that are toxic to plants.
Why do your products contain preservatives?
We include preservatives in our products to avoid bacterial and fungal contamination. The growth of these microbes may lead to spoilage of the product, but more importantly, may expose the user to potential infections, especially those with compromised immune systems. The preservatives we use are included in the smallest amounts possible and we only use preservatives that have been assessed and approved for use in Cosmetic and Personal Care products, following TGA/EU Cosmetic Directive guidelines. We regularly review our preservatives to ensure that any new information that becomes available is considered, and that we are using the most appropriate preservatives available for our products.
Are your products gluten free?
Yes. All of our Earth Choice products are gluten free.
Do you use palm oil?
We do not use palm oil as an ingredient in our products however some of our ingredients are derived from palm kernel oil as we
believe this is the best alternative to petrochemicals.
We understand there have been a lot of issues with
irresponsible sourcing of palm oil, but we strive to ensure our palm derived
ingredients are responsibly sourced. In line with our environmental and social
responsibility criteria, we require full traceability in our palm oil and palm
kernel oil sourcing back to the plantation. We are committed to ensuring our
sourcing goes a step above and beyond RSPO certification to guarantee that our ingredients are not linked with deforestation and/or human rights issues and violations.
We have partnered with a non-profit organisation
called Earthworm, enabling us to fully trace the source of our palm derived
ingredients through our supply chain. Earthworm focus on products and supply chains to bring about more responsible sourcing, helping communities and working on the ground with the producers to find pragmatic solutions and improve practices.
Do you use Australian ingredients?
We always source local and Australian ingredients first and only if they cannot be obtained then we have no choice but to look elsewhere.
Do you use fragrances in your products?
It is necessary to add a small amount of fragrance to our products as the base odour would be offensive to most people. The fragrances used in our products are blends of natural and synthetic oils, as there can often be a higher amount of allergic reaction to naturally derived oils than from synthetically derived.
Synthetic ingredients have been chemically engineered to remove the allergens and the amount of fragrance used in our products is a low as 0.012%.
Do you use parabens in your products?
Natures Organics does not use parabens in any of our products.
Are your products pregnancy safe?
Although our products are plant-based with mild and environmentally friendly ingredients, none have been formally tested for safety during pregnancy. Like many other natural products, most of ours also have a mild synthetic fragrance and preservative.
We list all the ingredients on our product pages including the safety data sheets. If you need any further information, you can discuss any of the ingredients with your doctor.
Product usage
What's the difference between the Earth Choice concentrate range and the standard Earth Choice dishwashing liquid?
The difference between a concentrate and a standard dish wash liquid is concentration of the surfactants in the ingredients. So the concentrate is a more powerful product by approximately 2 to 3x.
How much concentrate dishwashing liquid do I need to use?
We use a standardised test with 4ml of dishwashing liquid, water at 40C and plates with a standard amount of soil and typically will wash 25 to 30 plates under these conditions.
However; The exact number is going to depend on how dirty/oily the plates are, how much detergent is used and the temperature of the water etc.
Packaging
Why have you changed the 4L Laundry Liquid bottle?
As an environmentally conscious company, we are always looking for ways to reduce our impact on the environment and the new 4L Laundry Liquid bottle design and removal of the tap has many positive benefits.
Firstly, the amount of plastic in this new bottle has reduced by 17.7% The removal of the tap has also reduced the size of the cartons that we send the bottles to store, reducing the cardboard required by 25.6%.
The reduction in the size of the cartons means that our transport efficiency has increased by 25%, so we are shipping more bottles to store in each delivery which in turn reduces carbon emissions.
The removal of the tap also means that all our packaging is manufactured in Australia and the bottle and cap are now 100% recyclable.

What material is used on your dish tablets?
As the world is trying to be more conscious on plastic and microplastics entering the water ways, there seems to be questions and potential misperceptions on the use of polyvinyl alcohol film wrappers used on dish tablets and laundry pods.
This kind of film is highly water soluble even in cold water and completely dissolves in the washing process. The use of Polyvinyl Alcohol film ensures adequate biodegradability and is confirmed by means of readily biodegradation screening tests, across a range of polyvinyl alcohol detergent grade films.
The high-water solubility in itself implies that detergent capsule films are not within the microplastic scope. Furthermore, their biodegradability ensures there is no concern for persistence or accumulation in the environment and our waterways.

How much recycled plastic is in your product packaging?
We are committed to minimising the amount of virgin plastic used in packaging as much as possible. The amount of recycled plastic used in our packaging can vary from 30% to 100% depending on the type of product. Whilst we are able to use 100% recycled plastic in our clear PET bottles, some of our HDPE bottles can only handle 30% recycled plastic before the structural integrity of the bottle is compromised.
Are your bottles recyclable?
Yes, all of our bottles are 100% recyclable. Please follow the recycling instructions on the back of pack.
